Christmas Spirit in a Bottle

(Reposted from FB Debra Raybern's Team)
A blend of orange, cinnamon and spruce. It smells wonderful, yes - but what else might Christmas Spirit do? Emotionally it is very uplifting, calming and brings to mind the wonderful fragrances of the holidays. What about physically?

Orange is rich in d-limonene which has ver 50 clinical studies on its ability to combat tumor growth. (See the EODR for a particle listing). Orange is often used for people wanting to improve their circulatory system and combat extra water retention.

Cinnamon is one of the highest anti-viral, fungal and bacterial oils. Diffusing may help eliminate those pesky germs floating through the air when you diffuse it.

Spruce is supportive of the respiratory and nervous system. It is considered very grounding, so beneficial during times of stress. Spruce is often considered to be supportive to the adrenals, which during times of stress, even happy holiday stress (cooking, company, celebrations, activities, family…).

How to use Christmas Spirit: Add to your diffuser, topical on bottom of feet at (dilute 50/50 as the cinnamon can be hot on the skin, but not usually for the bottom of the feet), oral - 1-2 drops in a capsule with olive oil added to fill the capsule and swallowed.

You will also receive a 5ml bottle of ginger oil.

Ginger oil has been traditionally linked to be able to assist with nausea of all types. It is also supportive of the digestive system and one little known use is to combat the chills, shivers or when you just can't seem to get warm. It has a pleasant aroma when diffused especially when added to nutmeg. It is very supportive of the circulatory system. How to use - diffuse just one drop with nutmeg or a citrus oil; apply to bottom of feet (may need to dilute) and take 1 -2 drops orally in a capsule with olive oil or add to honey in a hot tea.

Much more may be found about these single oils in the Essential Oils Desk Reference guide.

YL Humlity Essential Oil

Repost from FB Group Debra Raybern's Team
HUMILITY oil blend is made up of the oils frankincense, rose, rosewood, Ylang ylang, geranium, melissa, spiknard, myrrh and neroli. WOW - several of these are some of the very costly, rare and precious oils.

What would I use Humility for? Yes, I at times wear it while praying to be sure my actions line up with the oils name; that I walk not only in gratitude, but also humbleness of spirit, being blessed to share the oils God has entrusted us with. But with these amazing oils together in one bottle - the possibilities are endless and go beyond the prayer closet. Here are just a few and the oil most responsible for the action listed, but it is the complete synergy of the blend that gives Humility its power to benefit each of us.

elevate a sad mood - rose, melissa
calming and relaxing - ylang ylang, neroli, melissa
respiratory complaints - melissa, spiknard, myrrh, frankincense
endocrine support for the hypothalamus, pituitary, amygdala
emotional support - for the highs and lows in life
focus and attention - work, school, play
calming an over active blood pressure - spikenard, ylang ylang
skin nourishing, scars, wound healing - frankincense, rose, rosewood, geranium, myrrh, spikenard, geranium
supportive of all organs of the body - frankincense, rose, rosewood, Ylang ylang, geranium, melissa, spiknard, myrrh and neroli

Look up each of the single oils in this blend and see for yourself the many reason to have a bottle of Humility in your home. Best way to use Humility - smell it, wear it, diffuse it, add to a Raindrop, bottom of feet at night, over an area of concern, temples, back of neck…How do YOU use Humility?

Available in 5ml, wholesale price is just $25.00.

Who is Gary Young?

Jared Turner - Drop of Valor
Who is Gary Young, Founder of Young Living Essential Oils?

As I think about Gary’s personal sacrifice as he builds out a new farm for us up in cold BC, Canada, I’ve been considering all the things people say about him, both good and bad. Some call him “crazy,” others the “maverick” or “guru” of the modern day essential oil movement. As with most leaders of movements that change the world, everyone seems to have an opinion of him.

Another title I love that describes the spirit of what Gary represents is that of “Shokunin.” A traditional Japanese title, “Shokunin” or “craftsman” could well encapsulate all the best of Gary. Shokunin are individuals who care deeply about their craft, but even this literal description doesn’t fully express the full meaning of the word. They care passionately, even spiritually, about their work-- to the point of the utmost personal sacrifice. They don’t care for money, but only to improve the world through the perfection of their craft, so the world is in some way better off because of them. They see what they do as an art form that must be perfected every day, faithfully. They never rest and are rarely tired (paradoxically) because they are doing what they were meant to do: living their purpose through their work. Tasio Odate, Japanese artist, further elaborates:

“The shokunin has a social obligation to work his best for the general welfare of the people. This obligation is both spiritual and material, in that no matter what it is, the shokunin’s responsibility is to fulfill the requirement.”

Gary is the true craftsman of the art of the cultivation, distillation and quality testing of essential oils. Comparable to none. He excels at it not only because he’s done if for decades, but because for him it’s as natural as flying is for an eagle, or swimming for a fish: it’s what he was meant to do.

Recent observations of his shokunin spirit include the personal physical sacrifices he is experiencing in Canada for the greater good of getting more pure oils to the world. When Gary told us recently that he is never warm. The only time he’s able to “thaw out” is a couple of hours after he tucks in his bed late at night after a long and arduous day at the farm. And it’s not just the brutal cold: he has cuts and bruises all over his body as a result of his drive to beat the deep winter clock and get you the oils you love.

I don’t say this to make you feel guilty or bad in any way. I do it to show you that what we have in him, and his dedication to his craft, is immeasurably valuable to all of us. Remember, he loves what he’s doing and is meant to do it.

Now it’s incumbent on us, as the recipients of this shokunin gift, to tell the story. To connect others to the Young Living “why” and continue the revolution in wellness Gary started decades ago. We strive to help you to tell this story via our emphasis on our Seed to Seal corporate ethos as evidenced in our farm-centric events, the ongoing re-brand, and our marketing materials that tell the Seed to Seal story (check out SeedToSeal.com).

Now if you look around on the Internet you will see that our detractors (including competitors) are attacking on all sides. They know they are shadows of what we are and what we stand for—and they don’t like it. They know they can’t compete with our original, authentic and rich narrative, so they attack the source of the strength of that narrative: Gary Young. We’re ok with that and will continue telling our story, and defending our virtue as the originators and leaders of the essential oil movement. Nobody can run from the fact that Gary created a culture and ethos of wellness and empowerment that has lasted for decades—and will last for decades more. Typically, with a little research, most people find this out for themselves.

The bottom line for me is that whatever our competitors want to call Gary, they can’t call him a copycat. They can’t call him an imitator. Hopefully at a minimum they acknowledge he’s the real deal and taught them everything they know about essential oils. Maybe instead of attacking, it’s time they give credit where credit is due. But guess what, Gary won’t be listening to any apologies; he’s too busy working in Canada to make the world a better place, one drop at a time.

But in case you still want to call Gary “crazy,” well, that may not be so bad either. Just ask Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple:

“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

YL recipes for the winter chill

Here a some recipes that might come in handy during the winter chill!! These are adult strength recipes, but may be diluted appropriately for children, seniors, those with sensitive skin or those new too oils.

Breathe Easy Blend:This is a blend used for diffusion or put a couple drops on tissue or hankie & inhale deeply, as needed.
20 drops Rosemary
20 drops Euc. Radiata
20 drops Peppermint

This Germ Un-Friendly recipe may be diffused, applied to the bottom of feet or used as a tent over hot water to breathe. Mix the recipe together and store in an empty oil bottle, labeled with ingredients, then use as desired. Diffusing - add 5-10 drops to diffuser; topical - add 2-3 drops to carrier oil or moisturizer for chest application (front and back) or neat 1-2 drops to bottom on feet; if taken orally 2-5 drops in a capsule and swallowed.

10 drops lemon
8 drops mountain savory
3 drops oregano
3 drops frankincense
10 drops Thieves

Topical Chest Rub: Used for supporting healthy lung function. Rub a few drops on chest and neck, when needed to help break up congestion.
5 drops Rosemary
5 drops Euc. Globulus or Radiata
3 drops Frankincense
3 drops Thyme
Add these oils to 2 oz. of a base of carrier oil.

Homemade "Chest" Rub

Turn the above recipe (or just use the blend RC or eucalyptus blue) into a chest rub already diluted and ready to use for all ages. Take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and warm until liquid; add 20 drops total of the essential oils and pour into a jar. Set aside until cool and it returns to a solid state. Label and enjoy.

From Debra Raybern - Thanks to Nancy Sanderson for sharing her recipes. I "doctored" them just a bit.

YL Alternative Blends

From Royal Crown Diamond Debra Raybern:
There have been a few oil blends that have been out of stock for a while. YL is categorizing these as “Temporarily Suspended Items” due to Raw Material Shortage. No ETA is given at this time. Due to rare or currently difficult to source oils that make up the blend the ETA is not known. Check the OOS weekly and when more information is available, it will show up on the OOS list.
Until we have a full supply again, or if you are simply out of one of these blends, here are some alternative selections:

• Trauma Life - Forgiveness and Harmony
• Juva-Flex - DiGize and GLF (1 drop each over liver area)
• Sara - Transformation, Forgiveness then Acceptance
• Longevity - thyme, frankincense, orange and clove -equal parts.
• Juva Cleanse - GLF
• Oola Grow - Motivation, Believe or Present Time
• Into the Future - Inspiration, Motivation, Believe or Dream Catcher
• Egyptian Gold - frankincense, Id. Balsam fir, myrrh and Palo Santo equal parts; or Exodus II (dilute if using Exodus II topically)
• Common Sense - Clarity, Brain Power
• Three Wise Men - Believe or Awaken
• Australian Blue - blue cypress, blue tansy, Id Balsam fir and cedar wood (equal parts)
• Live with Passion - Awaken, Present Time or Motivation

Also study your Essential Oils Desk Reference guide book for other alternatives that will do the job you are look for.

Young Living Frankincense

From YL Royal Crown Diamond Debra Raybern

Some people are seeing misleading and down right false information concerning frankincense - here is the truth.

While at the warehouse last week I saw plenty of frankincense going through final testing. The primary focus at YL right now is frankincense in kits and blends and the single is estimated to be back in stock in a few weeks. (We still have plenty of the Frankincense Sacra). The message portrayed by the competitor about us not able to source frankincense is FALSE, as usual. Frankincense was harvested in September, being distilled and shipped over to us.

They have ONE frankincense - ferrena, which we also have, but we have THREE - frereana - a specially holiday offering; sacra from own own farm in Oman (both of these are available currently) and carteri - from our partner farms in Somalia and Kenya.

Additional insight from Sera Johnson, YL Crown Diamond:
"Note that doterra only has one kind of Frankincense... Boswellia Frereana, which YL DOES have in stock! Doterra doesn't even carry other species of Frankincense EVEN THOUGH their main Website brazenly misleads viewers to believe they have some sort of Frankincense that has 3 species in it... or that they offer 3 species, which they do NOT. They even show a Frankincense bottle with a different label on their main product listing page. When you click on "check product availability in your country", that is where you see only the Frereana. I checked every one of their various country market sites and they ALL only list Frereana... no Sacra and no Carteri. Another important thing to note is that YL has NEVER said that all Frankincense comes from Oman. In fact, YL has gone as far as bringing in experts on Frankincense to educate us on many facts of Frankincense and many of the different species and where they are grown in the world. YL has also educated on the history of Frankincense. Young Living shares the FACTS. And as you clearly see, Young Living DOES have Frankincense in stock... Sacred Frankincense and Boswellia Frereana... and we WILL get Boswellia Carteri back."

Young Living is the world leader in essential oils, not just because of our quality, which is unsurpassed, but also our integrity.//DR

Young Living Compliant

From April Travis on how we can talk about YL and be FDA compliant:

LET'S BE FDA COMPLIANT - HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF DISEASE STATES THAT WE CANNOT USE AND WORDING ALTERNATIVES:

Examples of disease states that we cannot use and wording alternatives:

Cancer (of any kind and at any level) - cellular imbalance

Diabetes - blood sugar concerns, maintain proper blood sugar levels

Bronchitis - congestion, sneezing, itchy or scratchy throat

Hormones - endocrine imbalance, changes in life for young and old, changes in a matures women's body, metabolism, growth

Allergies - itchy watery eyes and sneezing when the oak is in full swing, or when the pollen count is high. “I react to changes in the seasons with sniffles and pressure; anyone with ideas?”

Acne - spots on my face, bumps, redness, blotchiness, changes in my complexion during my cycle

Health - wellness, balanced, vibrant living

Depression, bi-polar, Autism, ADD, Alzheimer's, dementia - replace these and other emotional, mental and mood disorders and learning issues with words like - distracted, focus, alertness, insecure, lack of confidence, angry, not at peace, not relaxed, stressed, crying.

“My child is far less responsive to his teacher, doesn't seem to have good focus and is distracted easily. Then we tried using some essential oils and it has helped him greatly.”

Or if you are asking a question - My child is far less responsive to his teacher, doesn't seem to have good focus and is distracted easily. What have others used to help with these concerns?

“My (relative) has a lot of difficulty remembering things. Anyone know some things we might try?”

“My (relative) used to have a really tough time remembering even simple things, but then as we replaced the chemicals in the home with Young Living products and he/she started smelling and wearing Brain Power and taking the MindWise supplement daily, he/she has greatly improved. So great to have him/her back their former vibrant self”.

Don’t ask for a protocol, that is the same as asking for people to prescribe, which is off limits unless you are a licensed medical professional.

Young Living EOs is worth every penny!

Overcoming Objections by Debra Raybern (Royal Crown Diamond)

What are some of the objections you hear when sharing Young Living? Products are expensive, there are other cheaper oils (a quality issue), and it’s an MLM company? Let's address these.

1. Cost - as the old adage goes - you get what you pay for. In this case Young Living provides superior quality. They are not considered the world leader in essential oils for nothing. Starting with authenticating the seed species, making sure the ground the seed is planted in is and has been free of chemicals, contaminants and synthetic enrichments - basically - better than organic. Plants are grown with care, harvested at the peak of maturity to yield not just the most oil, but the most potent and balanced oil with the right constituents so they are effective and safe. Distillation at the YL farms is a specific patented process, learned in over 30 years of research and study. Bottling is done in a state-of-the-art facility further assuring quality is second to none.

Compromise somewhere else; just not on your health. A spreadsheet named Price per Drop (http://www.sharinggreathealth.com/ArticleLibrary.html) may assist you in explaining for instance that to get rid of certain ailments took only 10 drops of an oil at a cost of just 13 cents per drop. What drug can do that! Watch Seed to Seal again! www.seedtoseal.com

2. Young Living is an MLM or Network Marketing style company. Yes, thank the Lord. More than 70,000 people join an MLM weekly. With some of the highest quality products across many industries (nutrition, electric & phone service, make-up, skin care, etc), these companies put money into research and the wallets of those who love using their products and sharing them with others. No distribution middlemen to pay. YOU share, YOU get the rewards. No other industry lets you really earn what your worth, leverage your time, work at your own pace and still achieve your dreams and goals.

Go Away Germs!

What Debra Does to Blast Germs Away - 2014
(YL Royal Crown Diamond)

NingXia Red Power Shot

Place the following in a shot glass:
1 drop frankincense
1 drop Melissa* (considered among the strongest anti viral oils)
1 drop cistus or cinnamon
1 drop Thieves
1 drop orange
1 drop Ocotea
1 drop thyme
Add one ounce NingXia Red™
Swallow quick – tastes great but can be a bit hot on the lips. Follow with a second ounce of NingXia Red. I drink this once in the morning and once in the evening at the onset of respiratory symptoms. I often only need the morning shot, but will take the evening one, just in case a germ is lingering. There have been a few times when I doubled the drops, based on how I felt or what I had been exposed to.

Melissa also has a sedative quality. Since it is quite pricy, and is still very effective in smaller amounts, use when needed, but use sparingly. When used topically, dilute up to 1:100. A little Melissa goes a long way.

For throat and respiratory complaints.

• Spoon of honey with 2 drops each - lemon, cedarwood, Melrose, stir with toothpick, place in
mouth and hold until dissolved, swallow.
A drop or two of cypress** oil under the tongue quiets most coughs.
One drop cypress on the tongue and swallow without water. The taste isn't great by the way. Repeat every 5-10 minutes or when the sore sensation returns. After the fourth or fifth time, the taste seems to be better and the soreness will typically be gone.
• Raven blend or ravintsara*** may both be applied to the chest and feet. When using ravintsara,
some people are sensitive and it can make the skin feel hot, so be sure and dilute.
• While in a hot steamy shower apply RC, Present Time and myrtle over the chest and bronchial
area.
• To quell a cough, that doesn’t seem to quit - mix 1 drop tarragon oil in honey, Yacon or Agave and swallow every 15 minutes. Simultaneously rub 3 drops dill oil and 5 drops V6 oil on the chest. (This remedy comes from the book Advanced Aromatherapy by Kurt Schnaubelt, PhD.) And you thought tarragon and dill were just for cooking.
• Supplement with additional vitamin C (Super C), take Inner Defense daily (we take 2
per day until the end of February), drink your NingXia Red - 3 plus ounces when feeling a cold
coming on. The essential oils Thieves, oregano, Mt. Savory and Melissa all have excellent germ
fighting properties and no home should be unprepared.
Rub thyme, eucalyptus radiate, dives or globulus, lemon and melaleuca oil on the chest and feet, also inhale.
Raindrop!! Get one. Every family should have members who know how to give a raindrop to each other. Learn from the EODR book, the brochure in this FB groups FILES section (Raindrop Brochure), attend a Young Living Raindrop seminar, attend a C.A.R.E. seminar or buy the Raindrop DVD).

**Cypress is known in all of aromatherapy as one of the most effective oils to counteract and infection in the throat, nose or bronchi in its early stages. Cypress is also used in the Raindrop and Vitaflex techniques as it support immune system response.

***Ravintsara is often taken at the onset of acute flu, one drop ingested (with liquid or capsule) every two hours and applied topically as described above.

Remember this is what I do. Please refer to the Essential Oils Desk Reference book for more information on supporting the body during cold and flu season. For children, refer to Gentle Babies for ideas.

It's Official - I'm a Health Coach!

What is a Health Coach?

A Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health Coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. Proper health coach training programs and health coach certification ensure that Health Coaches know how to work with diverse groups of people and equips them with the tools necessary to best fit the needs of their clients.

“The primary objectives of health coaching are to educate the patient regarding self health management and to encourage patients in taking a more proactive role in staying healthy.”-Medical Economics, Nov 2010

As more and more awareness is given to preventative care, health coaching is seen as a vital aspect of creating healthy lifestyle changes.  Health Coaches are becoming recognized as essential and integral parts of people’s health and wellbeing.  Not only is there a shift to live healthier lives, people are finding that helping others become healthier makes their lives better too.

There is now a huge demand for Health Coaches. Not only are doctors hiring more Health Coaches than ever before, but patients are learning that working with a Health Coach is one of the most effective ways to improve their health. And as more and more medical professionals recognize the vital importance of Health Coaches, the demand will grow. Dr. Michael Roizen recently wrote a Huffington Post article echoing this notion saying Health Coaching is the key to new job creation.

We are on the cutting edge of a health revolution!  Chronic diseases are the epidemic of our generation and people desperately need nutrition and lifestyle guidance to find their way back to health. That’s where YOU come in. With health coach certification through Integrative Nutrition, you will have the knowledge and skills to lead your clients to greater health and happiness.

Isn’t it amazing that the world is finally catching up? The Integrative Nutrition community has been at this since 1992. We are the world’s largest health coach training program, and our community is made up of more than 40,000 Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches, who are out in the world helping people make lifestyle changes that will drastically improve their health. Health Coaches are more essential now than ever!

My Young Living Testimonial

I was introduced to Young Living essential oils at a homeschool convention in 2011. I was already on a holistic alternative path (I used the book on the left) and was looking for a nutrition curriculum (book on the right).
At the booth, the reps introduced me to the therapeutic properties of YL essential oils. Learning that I could use these oils to replace OTC drugs and topical ointments was a no brainer in making a decision to switch to YL! I was also looking for whole food supplements for the whole family. Well, this was a "one stop" shop for me! A couple of months later, my family and I went to a family reunion in Ireland. Of course, I brought the oils and my essential oils reference book with me to learn more about it. It's a good thing I did because it helped my family from getting sick, which is what tends to happen when going to a foreign country. Ever since then, I've been using YL oils for everything: headaches, flu, stomach bugs, muscle pains...name the ailment, I had an oil for it!

DIY Glide On Sunscreen

Lotion base ( adjust measurements to your liking)
1/2 cup sweet almond oil or olive oil
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup beeswax pellets  ( use less if you want it less solid)
Optional 1 tsp Vit E oil
Optional 1 tbsp Shea butter or cocoa butter (do what work for you)
Adapted From www.wellnessmama.com and www.homemademommy.net
(This is a good recipe if making a sunscreen stick)

2 tblsp powdered zinc oxide

YLEOs:
Lavender- 15 drops
Frankincense 10 drops
Carrot seed 20 drops
Peppermint 5 drops

In a double broiler, melt beeswax pellets on medium to low heat. Don't let it boil. Cover it with a lid to speed the process but also stir it occasionally. Add coconut oil and stir it with a chopstick. When that's melted, add Shea or Cocoa butter and gently stir. Remove from heat when it's done melting. Add vit. E oil. Add zinc oxide, then essential oils. Continue stirring. Poor it in containers. Wait for it to cool. Enjoy and don't forget to eat right and drink lots of water!

My daughter Emma prefers this sunscreen to the other diy sunscreen lotion I made.

DIY Sunscreen with YLEOs

I am so excited about this recipe! This one is a "bottled lotion" consistency. I even had my husband and daughter try it out. It's perfect! Don't quote me on this, but if you are wondering about the SPF, it ranges between a 30-50.

Recipe:
2 tblsp beeswax pellets
5 oz coconut oil or olive oil
4 oz distilled water
2 tblsp powdered zinc oxide
4 capsules or 1 tsp Sulferzyme
10 drops Purification YLEO
5 drops Lavender YLEO
5 drops Carrot Seed YLEO
5 drops Frankincense YLEO

*YLEO = Young Living Essential Oils
*recipe from YL July newsletter

Melt beeswax in a double boiler. Then add coconut or olive oil. Remove melted oil from heat and add distilled water. Stir with chopstick (I don't like using metal utensils unless it's stainless steel and definitely don't use plastic). Add Zinc and SulferZyme. With a hand mixer, whip up the mixture for a couple of minutes for desired consistency. Add YLEOs and stir it with a chopstick. Pour the sunscreen lotion in a bottle dispenser or container of your choice. Voila! I used 1 oz glass containers because that's all I have right now. (See picture above)

This makes a little over 5 ounces of sunscreen lotion.

Keep in mind when protecting your skin, I wouldn't be so concerned about SPF as I would be about what you put IN your body. So here is the basic guideline, especially when you're out in the sun.

Increase your intake of anti oxidants and anti inflammatory foods to "crowd out" the junk.

Be patient with yourself when it comes to changing your diet. It's hard for me, too. Do what you can and make sure you drink a ton of water.

Ningxia Red!

21 REASONS To Drink Ningxia Red Juice!

(Ignore the mess behind my daughter)

1. The Ningxia Wolfberry provides ample antioxidants to strengthen the immune system. Antioxidants permeate cell walls and attack free radicals before they damage the DNA of the cell nucleus.

2. Antioxidants of this berry fight arteriosclerosis and artherosclerosis – aiding the circulatory system – including the heart.

3. The Ningxia Wolfberry is powerful in helping the liver function properly. The liver is one of the most vital organs in the body – it’s our cleansing machine.

4. Helps the eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, and visual acuity. This berry contains a complete array of antioxidant carotenoids including beta-carotene and zeaxanthin. In fact, the Ningxia Wolfberry has the highest source of carotenoids in all known foods. Beta-carotene is best known as a nutrient for the retina.

5. Cancer Help. The main constituent of the wolfberry is Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharide (LBP), and according to studies in China, LBP helps cancer patients rebuild their white blood cell count, enhancing phagocytes and the activity of natural killer cells, which bind to cancerous cells, as well as improving major classes of T-cells. “increase the antibody reaction to the T-cell antigen”.

6. More Cancer Help. Acetone extract from the Ningxia Wolfberry inhibits gene mutation. Some scientists say the fruit is a good supplement to prevent liver cancer. Also, studies show objective regression of cancer in patients with malignant melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and others. Results also indicated LBP may be used as an adjuvant in the biotherapy of cancer.

7. Minerals & vitamins act as enzymes and co-factors in the digestion process.

8. Studies on seniors in China produced amazing results (many people liver beyond 100 years of age in wolfberry growing areas). Increases in Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) and hemoglobin were found in serum in all participants. In other words wolfberry “may help slow the aging process”.

9. Protects against the free radical attack on the mitochondrial DNA – our energy furnaces inside each cell. Antioxidants fight against mitochondrial destabilation.

10. Helps lower blood sugar and in many tests at least stabilizes blood sugar.

11. It is important that cell walls maintain their malle-ability for nutrients to cross this membrane. The free radical scavengers found in the Ningxia Wolfberry strengthen the cell wall and support efficient transport of flavonoid nutrients into the cell and waste products out of the cell.

12. Strengthens the brains neuro-transmitters against pervasive free radical activity, thus fighting against dementia and other forms of memory loss.

13. Promotes a sense of well-being, and has had noticeable results in tests, which reduces stress and anxiety. The tissues of the body (including the brain) are assisted in avoiding oxidative stress.

14. Has a B-vitamin complex essential to the body. In addition, these vitamins are vital for converting food to energy.

15. Cells need to communicate, esp. those in the brain and nervous system. The synaptic responses are protected & fortified by the same polyphenols (flavonoids) that this berry uses to protect itself.

16. Provides powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial action because it contains solvetivone (an amino acid). Properties in the food fight viruses – it’s anti-viral.

17. Reduces pain caused by inflammation because the berry contains Beta-Sitosteral, a remarkable anti-inflammatory.

18. The Ningxia Wolfberry is high in protein (more than whole wheat), an essential cellular building block.

19. The Ningxia Wolfberry, unlike most berries, contains natural Vitamin E – a restorative antioxidant with too many health benefits to list here.

20. A healthier, romantic life. The wolfberry increases overall health performance, including sexual responses. One herbalist wrote, “Wolfberry can make a young wolf out of an old man.”

21. This berry, dubbed “A complete body health motivator” has many unique polysaccharides, not found in any other plant on the planet.

Health Benefits of YL lemon oil

Secret Oily Believer

My first born son. He's a secret YL oily believer. He's good with Thieves oil diffused in his room. Whenever he's got blisters from soccer, he always uses YL animal scent ointment. I know - weird title for an alternative to Neosporin. It was originally made for animals, that's why. So yes, use the ointment for your furry family members, too.

Alternative to Neosporin

Alternative to toxic air fresheners

Everyday Oils for Everyday Mishaps

I literally use these oils everyday. I take them with me everywhere I go. It's my first aid kit. Seriously. Lavender is like a "Swiss army knife", Valor is a "chiropractor in a bottle", PanAway for aches and pains, Peppermint for headaches and tummy aches, Peace & Calming for emotional upset or hyperactivity, Stress Away to calm the nerves, Lemon is an antiseptic and helps detox, frankincense for spiritual use and skin issues, Purification for bug bites, Joy for obvious reasons, Thieves for colds/flu and splinters too. Why do I take them everywhere I go? I'm a MOM. It's what I do. My kids may not want my oils right away but guess who they come to when they've got issues? So all those OTC remedies I used to buy at Walmart or Target are all in the trash and no longer in my home.I love that I can get these oils at wholesale and earn points to also get them for free. I also love sharing my oils to help my family and friends. Do you want a sample? Would you like me to teach a class for you? I'll do both for free! There's no catch. It's called "paying it forward." God put it on my heart to help people heal the natural way rather than feel dependent on OTC drugs that only mask the symptoms.

Connecting With Your Kids

I love love love chatting with my 22 year old daughter. Of course, that wasn't always the case. Back in her teen years, she was a nightmare. But I was no better. Looking back, so was I - a legalistic parent. What a terrible combination. Yet, in God's great mercy, He brings restoration.

Reflecting over the Christmas season, my  other daughter (love chatting with my teens, too) mentions how her friend didn't know that Christmas was really about Jesus' Birthday. Wow. Thankfully, God gave her the opportunity to enlighten her. Apparently, my other daughter's fiancĂ© didn't know that either. Holy Guacamole! What part of CHRISTmas did they not get? Oh how the Enemy likes to keep everyone from knowing our Savior!

That brought the conversation with my eldest daughter to another matter - church. Please, please, please bring your children to church and teach them about Jesus. There are so many kids out there that don't know the basics - God made you, God loves you and God sent Jesus on Earth to show you the way and also died on the cross for the punishment of your sins. Most importantly, Jesus has risen! (Don't correct my grammar, please)

And then another topic was added to that - youth ministry. Oh the stories she tells me of the things that went on during those 3 day trips and Catalina Island. Yeah, there are some young wolves out there in the church that wreaked havoc. I was one of those parents who relied heavily on youth ministry to help me raise my kids in the way of The Lord. Well, not anymore! Don't get me wrong. Attending church is important as well as scriptural. But you, parents, are the real mentors. So don't sweat it if your kids aren't part of a youth group yet. There's a season for everything. Just keep praying for God's wisdom, hear your kids' heart, and connect with them always...no matter how ugly they get.
