YL recipes for the winter chill

Here a some recipes that might come in handy during the winter chill!! These are adult strength recipes, but may be diluted appropriately for children, seniors, those with sensitive skin or those new too oils.

Breathe Easy Blend:This is a blend used for diffusion or put a couple drops on tissue or hankie & inhale deeply, as needed.
20 drops Rosemary
20 drops Euc. Radiata
20 drops Peppermint

This Germ Un-Friendly recipe may be diffused, applied to the bottom of feet or used as a tent over hot water to breathe. Mix the recipe together and store in an empty oil bottle, labeled with ingredients, then use as desired. Diffusing - add 5-10 drops to diffuser; topical - add 2-3 drops to carrier oil or moisturizer for chest application (front and back) or neat 1-2 drops to bottom on feet; if taken orally 2-5 drops in a capsule and swallowed.

10 drops lemon
8 drops mountain savory
3 drops oregano
3 drops frankincense
10 drops Thieves

Topical Chest Rub: Used for supporting healthy lung function. Rub a few drops on chest and neck, when needed to help break up congestion.
5 drops Rosemary
5 drops Euc. Globulus or Radiata
3 drops Frankincense
3 drops Thyme
Add these oils to 2 oz. of a base of carrier oil.

Homemade "Chest" Rub

Turn the above recipe (or just use the blend RC or eucalyptus blue) into a chest rub already diluted and ready to use for all ages. Take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and warm until liquid; add 20 drops total of the essential oils and pour into a jar. Set aside until cool and it returns to a solid state. Label and enjoy.

From Debra Raybern - Thanks to Nancy Sanderson for sharing her recipes. I "doctored" them just a bit.
