Feeding on His Faithfulness

God's faithfulness is what sustains me. Below are notes from this weekend's women's retreat.

Psalm 37
v4 - Delight yourself also in The Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart

DELIGHT
a high degree of pleasure or enjoyment; joy; rapture
- spend adequate time with God
- worship Him for who He is
- God is the pleasure giver

1- when you're with God, what do you experience? Romans 8:1
Do you feel unfit or disapproved of?
1 Cor13:5 God doesn't keep records of wrong 
Psalm 103:12 God is NEVER rocked by our sin 
God's track record is Love, Faithfulness, and Mercy 

2 - what pleasures do you need to remove in your life so that you can delight in God more? 

v23 The Lord delights in you for He has created you in His image

Rest is a privilege and a duty

On the 7th day God Rested
- discipline, obedience, surrender, submission, Solitude
-He calls us to wait so that He can work on our hearts

Do not fret and do not envy

Things to do:
Trust and do- psalm 118
Dwell and feed
Dwell and receive 
Rest and wait

Trust is motivating fretting is paralyzing 
Don't stop doing good

Dwell - take possession

Faith however slender saves the soul

When we truly delight in Him, the desires of our heart will change

Do not FRET - tell the worry committee in your head to sit down And shut up!
